- To act on selected policy matters that affect Ethiopia and Ethiopian-Americans by active participation in the policymaking process of local, state, and federal institutions of the United States.
- To act on humanitarian and civil liberty matters, as a grassroots constituent advocacy organization, with 501c (3) charitable and non-profit status not affiliated with any partisan organization or political party.
- To promote civic awareness and responsibility through informed and active participation within the context of US citizenship and the law of the land, for the safety, health, education and welfare of Ethiopian-Americans.
